Do You Accept Insurance?
Yes. Insurances include BCBS, United Healthcare/Optum, Cigna, Medicare, Tricare/Humana Military, etc. If you are out of network with us or do not see your insurance, we do email a receipt/superbill after the visit that can be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement. The amount is dependent on your out-of-network benefits. Patients have told me that the reimbursement ranges from 40-70% of the fee. Payments are due at the time service is rendered.
What Is the Cost of a Visit?
The initial evaluation is one hour with one of our mental health professionals and can cost $250 for the visit. Follow up visits are typically 15-30 minutes and can range from $125-$150.
What should I accept in the Initial Evaluation?
Our Mental Health Professionals will talk with you about all of your concerns. We will ask questions to better understand you. We will also want to discuss your past medical history and past treatments including medication and therapy. Our team will then discuss the diagnosis and possible treatments. We spend a lot of time educating about the diagnosis and treatments including therapy, medications, and self-care (diet, exercise, sleep).
What is TMS Therapy?
TMS stands for transcranial magnetic stimulation. It is used to treat depression by stimulating the brain non-invasively using electromagnetic fields, similar to those produced by an MRI machine. During TMS Therapy, a magnetic field is administered in very short pulses to the part of the brain that research has demonstrated to be associated with depression. The typical initial course of treatment is about 37 minutes daily over 4-6 weeks.

TMS Treatment requirements

Various measures are used to determine if TMS is the best option for you. Ultimately, the decision will be made by you and our treatment team, but in general, to qualify for TMS therapy, one must:

  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Have a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD)
  • Show no response to prior antidepressant medications

You do not need to be a current patient of Castle Healthcare Services Inc. to enroll in our TMS outpatient treatment.
